• A Mentor Mom walks a few steps ahead and brings perspective on mothering, womanhood, and relationships. Through one-on-one relationships, Mentors communicate with vulnerability and honesty and provide a foundation for acceptance and trust. You support mothers, not because you have all the answers, but because you know that’s what Jesus would do.

    1. Invest in Women. Offer them your time and your listening ear.

    2. Empathize with a mom’s experience. You can’t fix everything, but you can let each woman know you care about her experiences and how they make her feel.

    3. Share what has worked for you. You don’t have all the answers, but you know the one who does and you can point her to Him.

    • Praying for each mom and leader in the group.

    • Be present – never underestimate the power of presence. A Mentor Mom has the unique honor of investing in the lives of moms and Leaders.

    • Create an atmosphere where the love of Jesus is shared. Ensure, along with the rest of the leadership team – that this is the focus on of your relationships, meetings and conversations.

    • Get involved in small group discussion. This includes listening well for ways to support and pray, allowing open conversation and creating personal relationships with women in the group.

    • Celebrate big and small moments in the lives of each mom.

    • Complete a 45 minute leader certification.

What is MomCo?

We are so excited to launch MomCo (formerly known as MOPS) at SCDA! MomCo encourages and equips moms to realize their potential as mothers, women and leaders, while growing in relationship with Jesus. Join us for our 9 sessions where we will have breakfast, speakers + message, small group discussions, and crafts. Click the button below to register for MomCo or to volunteer as a Mentor Mom or KidsCo Lead.

Interested in being a Mentor Mom?

  • Mothers can relax and enjoy MomCo when they know the KidsCo program is caring for their children in the best possible way! KidsCo offers childcare for your children, ages Newborn-5 years old, during the 9 MomCo sessions. Volunteers will be trained to hold and care for your kids so that you can fully participate and enjoy your MomCo morning.

  • KidsCo is open to all children of a mom who is attending our MomCo Session. We accept kids ages Newborn to 5 years old.

  • Yes, there is a fee for KidsCo outside of the normal registration fee for MomCo.

The pricing is $100 for one child and $200 for two or more children. This is the pricing for all 9 sessions of MomCo. We aren’t able to discount if you aren’t able to make it to all 9 sessions.

  • KidsCo is our volunteer run child care offered during the 9 MomCo sessions. The childcare is offered for newborns through 5 years old. KidsCo children will be split into age specific rooms.

KidsCo gives moms the time to focus on themselves – to have an uninterrupted conversation and eat food without cutting it up for someone else. This wouldn’t be possible to do without volunteers! It is a great opportunity to share Jesus with our SCDA moms and kids during this growing season of their life.
